    We expect all guests to behave in a family-friendly manner. Profanity and unruly behavior are not tolerated and may be cause for ejection from the Aquarium Restaurant without refund.

  • Does the Aquarium Restaurant in kemah have a dress code?

    Guests must wear appropriate clothing while at the Aquarium Restaurant. Shirts, shorts/pants, and shoes must be worn at all times. Pants must be pulled up fully to the waist, with no exposure of undergarments. Clothing with explicit language is not allowed. Shoes with wheels (Heely's) are not allowed. The Aquarium Restaurant reserves the right to refuse admission or ask anyone to leave who is not in compliance with these rules.

  • CAN I TAKE FOOD AND DRINKS TO THE AQUARIUM RESTAURANT in kemah?

    The following Food and Beverage related items are not permitted:

    • Hard and soft coolers
    • Bottled water
    • Glass containers
    • Food (such as sandwiches, meals, snacks etc.)
    • Off-premise alcohol

    Excessive consumption of alcohol is cause for ejection without refund.

  • WHAT ITEMS ARE NOT ALLOWED AT THE AQUARIUM RESTAURANT in kemah?

    In addition to the restrictions mentioned under our Food and Beverage Policy, the following items are not permitted:

    •     Lawn chairs and folding chairs
    •     Markers, spray paint and aerosol cans
    •     Knives
    •     Chains
    •     Spiked clothing or jewelry
    •     Fireworks and explosives
    •     Unlicensed weapons
    •     Chemical weapons including mace or pepper spray
    •     Bicycles, skateboards, and rollerblades

    The Aquarium Restaurant is not responsible for items that are stolen or left unattended.

  • CAN I BRING MY PET TO THE AQUARIUM RESTAURANT in kemah?

    Service animals are welcome in most areas of the Aquarium Restaurant at no additional charge. Employees will not take responsibility or provide care for any service animal. Aquarium Restaurant reserves the right to remove any service animal that poses a threat to the safety and/or welfare of the Aquarium’s guests, employees, or property.


    Guests with service animals, please check in at the hostess stand before entering the Aquarium Restaurant. Service animals must be restrained on a leash or harness at all times.


    Service Animals are defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as a dog or miniature horse that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The task(s) performed by the service animal must be directly related to the person’s disability. Untrained/service animals “in training” are not considered service animals. Emotional support, comfort, or companion animals are NOT service animals and therefore are not permitted on property and are not protected by law.

  • Where can I park at the Aquarium Restaurant in kemah?

    Parking is available throughout Kemah Boardwalk, including paid lots and a parking garage near the Boardwalk. Limited free street parking is also available in the Lighthouse District, and additional free lots can be found nearby, some offering shuttle service when available.


    For the most convenient option, follow signs for Kemah Boardwalk Parking when you arrive.

  • Are there Shuttle Buses to the Aquarium Restaurant in kemah?

    There are no dedicated shuttle buses that run directly to the Aquarium Restaurant at Kemah Boardwalk. Most visitors arrive by car and use the Boardwalk’s parking areas. If you’re coming from Houston without a car, you can take the METRO line 247 bus to Bay Area Park & Ride, then use a taxi or rideshare to reach Kemah Boardwalk.

  • Is the Aquarium Restaurant in kemah wheelchair accessible?

    Yes! The Aquarium Restaurant at Kemah Boardwalk is fully wheelchair accessible. It offers accessible entrances, seating, restrooms, and parking to ensure a comfortable experience for all guests.

  • Is there a Lost and Found at the Aquarium Restaurant in kemah?

    Yes. If you’ve misplaced an item during your visit at the Aquarium Restaurant or Kemah Boardwalk, please visit the Guest Services desk located on the Boardwalk or call (281) 535-8100 for assistance. They can help check if your item has been turned in and provide instructions for retrieval. To help us find and return your item, please let us know the following information:

    •     Date and location item was lost or last seen
    •     Description of item - please be specific in regards to color, brand and any unique features
    •     If you lost a cell phone please provide serial number, make, model and service provider.
    •     Your contact information – phone number and address
    •     Please tell us if you completed a lost item report before you left the park.

    Due to high volume, lost item reports are only kept active for 30 days. A team member will contact you only if your item has been located.

  • DO RIDES CLOSE DUE TO WEATHER AT THE KEMAH BOARDWALK?

    Yes. While the Aquarium Restaurant itself remains open, Kemah Boardwalk rides may close temporarily during severe weather conditions such as heavy rain, lightning, or high winds. Closures are for guest safety and typically resume once conditions improve.

    MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover and JCB are accepted at all ticket booths, restaurants and gift shops with proper identification.

  • is smoking allowed at the Aquarium Restaurant in kemah?

    No. The Aquarium Restaurant and Kemah Boardwalk are smoke-free environments, including cigarettes, cigars, and vaping devices. Designated smoking areas may be available outside the Boardwalk entrances—please check posted signs or ask a staff member for directions.

  • Does the Aquarium Restaurant in kemah have littering policy?

    Please help keep our park clean. Trash receptacles are conveniently located throughout the park and trash must be disposed of in these containers. 

  • Can my children visit the Aquarium Restaurant in kemah alone?

    Except when participating in an event intended for young guests such as our birthday parties and educational programs, there must be at least one adult chaperone (over the age of 18) for every 5 – 10 children.

  • ARE THERE RESTRICTED AREAS AT THE AQUARIUM RESTAURANT in kemah?

    Guests may not enter restricted areas. Personal items that are lost in ride areas should be reported to the ride operator. Guests who enter restricted areas may be ejected without refund. 

  • Can I take professional photos at the Aquarium Restaurant in kemah?

    By entering the  Aquarium Restaurant, guests grant us the right to film or photograph him/her on property, without payment or consideration. 


    All photographs or videos taken by Aquarium guests may only be used for their personal use and enjoyment and for no commercial purpose. Guests must have written permission to use photographs and/or video of the Aquarium for commercial broadcasting, advertising, marketing, or publishing in any medium.   • How do I contact Guest Services at THE Aquarium Restaurant in kemah?

    There are always team members, management and security on-site to assist you with your needs. 

  • WHAT ARE THE PARK POLICIES AT THE AQUARIUM RESTAURANT in kemah?

    In addition to our Code of Conduct, guests are required to comply with all local, state and federal laws, as well as individual park policies, rules and instructions posted or otherwise listed. This is inclusive of the Federal Rider Responsibility Act.

  • What are the ride line rules and rider responsibilities at Kemah Boardwalk?

    Line jumping is strictly prohibited at Kemah Boardwalk. To enter a ride line, guests must present a valid ticket or wear an official All Day Ride wristband. Adults accompanying children are also permitted. Saving spots, cutting line, or leaving and re-entering the same place in line is not allowed under any circumstances. 


    All Riders must follow posted and announced safety instructions. Non-compliance may result in removal without refund. Ride rules are displayed at each attraction.

    Wristbands are non-transferable and may not be shared.
